As I look out the window, it is very snowy and sunny. I’m sure it is a very cold day, though I won’t know for an hour or so til I poke my head out. I love a clear, crisp wintry day. From inside.
What I truly love, though, are sunny summer days. My hammock and a good book and a view of flowers. So, as pretty as it is outside today, I am thinking more about the summer.

Here we are… Valentine’s day number 32. And without question I love you 32 million times more than that first one.
You are my rock, my very best friend, my coach, my comedic audience. You get me and you make me feel important.
You are my every day of the week Valentine.
Today. Tomorrow. And always.
For 4 weeks, I have been fighting illness and other distractions, but in reality, this whole school year I haven’t felt myself. A wise young man recently told me that I’ve always been good at standing up for other people and that it only makes sense that I stand up for myself. I was reminded of the saying that you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of others.
So, I am taking time this weekend to take care of myself and the things that really matter. Looking forward to Valentine’s Day although everyday should be a time for love.
