Tomorrow, quick on the heels of my daughter’s birthday, my husband will celebrate his special day. I am fortunate to have married the person who has remained my closest friend and ally throughout our many years together. Although neither of us is perfect, we are perfect for each other.
Happy Birthday sweetie. Enjoy your day and all the days ahead.
Decided to play a bit with this one as I loved the bottom part of the rose, but there was too much light on the top. Not really into processing much….because I don’t really know how to do it…..but didn’t want to discard the shot.

I’ve spent the last couple days helping my son move his belongings. He is coming home for a bit until the next adventure in his life begins this fall. This photo was taken when I went on one of our many adventures together to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton. on this particular day, Kyle spotted this butterfly on the flower and I was lucky enough to get a good shot.
This happens to be one of my very favourite photos. I probably say that a lot, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Perhaps that title is somewhat deceiving, but seriously….doesn’t it look like my friend the bee is going for a walk on this flower??? He is the same bee that I caught buzzing away in this earlier post.
