A couple of years ago, I was lucky enough to go hang out with my daughter in Vancouver for a long weekend. As has always been her nature, the weekend was jam-packed with activities and friends and school….but we did take a moment to watch the sunset.

Tomorrow is another one….
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one – Dr. Seuss
Well, little did I know that quote now signifies that I am yet again moving schools….”tomorrow is another one”. Last spring, I was declared excess at my beloved school. I went out, conquered the world of interviews and found another school for September. This morning, I found out that I am again “excess to location”. So, the quote is a bit sarcastic on my part.
Today was….”fun”.
I am again, off into the sunset….let the next adventure BEGIN!
So long to summer…vacation
It is that time of year again, when my many weeks of summer break are ending. This photo was actually taken in March, 2012, not at the end of summer, but it is one of my favourite sunset shots.
This photo originally showed up here, when I had returned from visiting my daughter in Vancouver. She has found another home, although she has never said goodbye to this one. How wonderful it is to have more than one place to which you belong!
Revisiting the past
Clouds come floating…
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky – R. Tagore
I have not done anything processing wise to this shot, mainly because I have a new computer and haven’t gotten to that part of the learning curve yet…but this is what the sunsets at the cottage actually look like – although my sweetie isn’t always swimming off into them….
I feel a bit like the clouds are in the way of me seeing the future right now, so I like the quote as it reminds me to enjoy the view as every view has its upside!
Water is the driving force
Water is the driving force of all nature – Leonardo da Vinci
The sunsets at the cottage this weekend were amazing, even on a point and shoot!
Please read the post on my writing blog, The Great Bear Rainforest, about the fight against the Enbridge Gateway Pipeline in B.C. which would deeply change the waterways in the area.
